Who is Highball Liquor Store?

Highball Liquor Store is a retail store that sells spirits, beer, and wine in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It will be located in a retail strip center in a busy neighborhood home to suburban residents, blue collar and white collar employees, and college students from Rutgers University. Highball Liquor Store is owned by Joey Spaglio, a retired Marine veteran that moved back to his hometown and is opening up his first business.

Highball Liquor Store will carry spirits, beer, and wine to suit all budgets. They will have a wide selection of premium and standard liquor, craft and domestic beer, and a large assortment of red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, rose/blush wine, and champagne. Pricing will be on par with competitors and they will run monthly and weekly specials on select alcohol. Highball Liquor Store will also offer a membership club for frequent visitors to redeem points for discounted items.

Highball Liquor Store History

Highball Liquor Store is founded by Joey Spaglio, a New Brunswick native who moved back to his hometown after retiring from the United States Marine Corp. Joey always wanted to own his own business and after years of saving money he decided that a steady and reliable business is a liquor store, as it is something he has always been fond of. While serving in the Marines, Joey lived all over the United States and various places internationally during his 20-year service. From living in different parts of the world, he became knowledgeable about different types of beer, wine, and liquor. Joey decided that he wants to put his knowledge and passion into his own business while serving his hometown.

Since incorporation, Highball Liquor Store has achieved the following milestones:

  • Located the store location and signed a Letter of Intent with the property management company.
  • Registered Highball Liquor, LLC to do business in the state of New Jersey.
  • Applied for the New Jersey Liquor License permit to sell alcohol within the premises.
