Who is Gray Wolf Bar?

Gray Wolf Bar is a start-up bar business located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gray Wolf will be located in the French Quarter where it will be surrounded by numerous other bars, restaurants, and attractions. The French Quarter attracts locals, college students, and tourists visiting the city wanting to experience the unique and fun culture only found in New Orleans.

Owned by bar enthusiast and entrepreneur Abraham Smith, Gray Wolf Bar will become New Orleans newest, trendiest bar for patrons to enjoy its extensive beer, wine, and cocktail menu. Gray Wolf’s beverage program will consist of boutique wine, craft beer, and exquisitely crafted cocktails. The wine list will be seasonal by the glass and bottle options. The beer list will consist of a large assortment of beers on draft and bottled. Abraham himself has created a cocktail menu that has something to cater to every palate and is unique only to Gray Wolf Bar. The decor will be rooted in New Orleans French Quarter motif and will be accompanied by popular jazz music to add to the perfect New Orleans ambiance. Gray Wolf Bar is scheduled to open within the next six months.

Gray Wolf Bar History

Gray Wolf Bar is owned by Abraham Smith, a local entrepreneur who has many years of experience in the food and beverage industry. His experience comes from start-up restaurants and bars to established restaurants and popular tourist attractions. He has worked for a variety of owners and managers and has learned the right way and wrong ways to manage and operate a successful and profitable bar. Mr. Smith has worked as a sommelier at the local country club as well as managing some of New Orleans’ most popular nightlife bars. He has educated himself in the art of craft beer, the distillation process with certain liquors, and with wine culture through his sommelier training.

Since the pandemic of 2020, Mr. Smith saw many of his favorite bars close down and now that the country is reopening, he is ready to emerge on his own and open up the bar he has envisioned for many years.

Since incorporation, Gray Wolf Bar has achieved the following milestones:

• Developed the bar’s branding image, social media, and website.
• Has a soft hold on a prime bar location in the French Quarter.
• Met with the architect to begin the design and look of the bar..
• Developed and finalized the beer, wine, and cocktail menu.
• Obtained a beer and liquor permit license to be able to serve alcoholic beverages in Orleans Parish..
• Obtained a sales and use tax permit for use in Orleans Parish.
