Freshley’s Grocery Store will be owned and operated by the Owners Dan and Jan Walters.

Dan and Jan Walters were born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduating high school, they got married and began working at local nearby farms to assist with packaging their dairy, meat and produce products to sell around town. They spent the weekdays packaging the food and spent the weekends selling them at farmers markets. Dan and Jan are very familiar with sourcing local goods from nearby farms and know there is a market in Des Moines for a grocery store that specializes in farm fresh produce, meat, and dairy. The local farms they work for are especially excited for their new grocery store as it will be an avenue for the farms to receive more exposure and sales.
