Mia Janes will be the Owner and Director of Visual Haven Art Gallery.

Mia Janes has been an art lover and enthusiast since she was a child. Having grown up in an artistic family, she has always considered herself a student of the arts and committed to keep learning about art, technique, history, and innovation. Once she graduated from CalArts, she traveled across the world and spent the next thirteen years working in some of the world’s most famous museum institutions. She lived and worked in London, Moscow, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and New York.

When she made her way back to the west coast, she knew it was time to pursue her passion. Mia has long wanted to be an advocate for lesser known artists who don’t necessarily have the financial backing to gain exposure and/or the necessary contacts in order to display their art in shows and exhibits. Visual Haven Art Gallery will be the starting point for local emerging artists and Mia is proud and excited to give them an opportunity for a successful art career.

Mia will manage all of the day-to-day tasks, schedule all of the displayed artists to have their own shows and exposure, and hold art classes and seminars. She will also be in charge of membership pricing and communication and will ultimately be the face of Visual Haven Art Gallery.
